Rental and Leaseback Apartments in Paris

The French property leaseback and rental company Pierre et Vacances has new developments on the cards for apartments in Paris and Deauville, among others.

French sale and leaseback schemes -in which you purchase a property and then hand it over to a managing agent who rents it out on your behalf- have been very attractive to investors due to the introduction in the 1970s of a VAT rebate. British investors have been taking advantage of the low mortgage rates on offer in France, even in spite of a week pound. In France, buyers can still secure a mortgage of 100 percent of a property's value. It is worth pointing out that some leaseback schemes by smaller management companies have proved less than reliable. Some have failed to deliver promised rental yields, while other developments have collapsed.
